Dr Omer Gozubuyuk

Dr Omer Gozubuyuk is a Sports and Exercise Physician with a strong commitment to diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal pain with clarity and precision. He believes exercise therapy forms the foundation of treatment for most musculoskeletal conditions and values working within coordinated care teams alongside skilled physiotherapists, osteopaths and other allied health professionals. Whether supporting professional athletes or helping active individuals return to what they enjoy, he prioritises collaborative, patient-centred care grounded in accurate diagnosis and realistic expectations.

Dr Gozubuyuk also consults at Back Neck & Joint, where he works closely with pain specialists and allied health clinicians to manage complex and persistent musculoskeletal conditions through shared care.

His clinical focus centres on understanding how the body moves and using musculoskeletal ultrasound to assess tissues in real time. This enables more accurate diagnoses, precise interventions, and clearer explanations for patients. He performs a wide range of injection-based treatments, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP), prolotherapy, tendon and muscle injections, nerve-related procedures and fluid aspirations. Nearly all procedures are performed under ultrasound guidance to improve accuracy and reduce guesswork.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Gozubuyuk holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Bogazici University. He previously served as an academic staff member at Istanbul University, where he lectured to medical students and contributed to research in sports and musculoskeletal medicine. He has presented at national and international congresses, including the World Congress of Sports Medicine (FIMS), and maintains an active publication record.
